Christmas Cliché

🎄🎄🎄🎄
Release Date: November 19, 2019
Genre: Holiday Romantic Comedy
Blurb:
'Twas the week before Christmas
and all through L.A.,
Allie Parker's famous twin sisters
were driving her cray.
She fled to the mountains
with a hostage in tow,
hoping to sleep through the holidays,
which were a shit-show.
A crash in a blizzard,
and a hot mountain man,
definitely wasn't part
of her evacuation plan.
Santas, and stockings,
and creepy nutcrackers too,
everywhere she looks,
it's a crazy Christmas zoo.
But there are hugs, and smiles,
and a beautiful view,
kisses and laughter,
and no time to be blue.
Maybe this family,
with their hot mountain man,
will make this a Christmas
Allie can actually stand.

Review:
If you love Hallmark Christmas movies, this is the book for you. It's light and sweet with very low angst, if any and has so much Christmas spirit you'll want to be snuggled up beside your Christmas tree with a blanket and some hot chocolate.

Allie has finally taken the steps to be her own person and stop taking care of her spoiled twin sisters by fleeing with her best friend to her dad's childhood home. She has no plan other than to get away and hold up her end of a promise she made with her cousin when they were young girls. A few mishaps, ridiculously funny conversations with her best friend, MIllie and a crash into snow later, they find themselves unexpected guests of Jason and his sister Jen.

Meeting and spending time with Jason's family brings back the magic of Christmas for Allie and finds her love for the holidays. Tara Sivec does a great job playing up the clichés in this book and using Millie to point them out. I enjoyed the lightheartedness and spirit of the book and would recommend it to anyone who starts decorating their tree before Thanksgiving. Four very jolly Christmas trees to Tara Sivec and her book, Christmas Cliché.
