This book popped up as a book that was recommended for me based on my prior reads. Thank you Kindle Unlimited for knowing that I would LOVE this book and that it would ultimately lead me down a rabbit hole with Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti's work. I DEVOURED this book and the series and am now not so patiently waiting for the next book. 

We meet Darcy and Tory barely surviving in the city, breaking into houses to get money for food and their survival. After being approached by Lance Orion (hello sexy AF Vampire), they're brought to a world full of Elemental magic and orders ranging from wolves to dragons and everything in between. YEARS behind their peers and told they're the long lost daughters of the Savage King, they're forced catch up or get eaten alive at Zodiac Academy. 

In this first book, we're introduced to the Heirs. Four guys who are as brutal as they are sexy. Darius, Seth, Max and Caleb run the school and have been raised to one day take the place of their parents, the Council of Solaria. What happens when two unskilled, intriguing daughters of the last king return? Obviously, you make their lives hell....right?

Amanda and Kristin met in 2010 when they started teaching at the same school and soon became fast friends.
